With the purpose of creating synergies between EU funded projects, RESIST project will be presented during the next Webinar organized by EUProtect Project on November the 23rd.
EUProtect (Development of New Solutions for the Protection of European Citizens and Infrastructures Against Terrorist Threats)is a 2-year Project led by STAM, whose aim is to develop new concepts of urban landscape design for reducing the vulnerability of public spaces against terrorist threats. EUProtect covers both CBRN and traditional attacks and is addressed to the protection of so-called soft targets, in particular metro stations and shopping malls.
Similarly, RESIST aims to train the operators of CI, included metro stations, to create the first ten certified, equipped and trained EU Intervention Groups able to react in the event of a CBRN accident/attack in view of avoiding the abrupt shut down of the CI hit by the event.
The Webinar planned for next 23rd November is, therefore, a great opportunity to encourage the complementarity between the two Projects, through the exchange of knowledge, resources and expertise.
