On the 27th of January, SAFE, leading partner of the RESIST consortium, participated at the 1st Workshop on the Radiological and Nuclear Training Framework in the EU, organised by the H2020 INCLUDING project (which sees the participation of two RESIST project partners within its consortium – ENEA and IAI) at ENEA’s Frascati Research Center (Rome).
Aim of the one-day workshop was manifold. In particular, it sought to give an overview of the current status of RN training’s standardisation levels across Europe; clarify the role of innovative methodologies and technologies in RN training; assess the relevance of unconventional scenarios in RN training; collect recommendations, suggestions and lessons learned from participants.
The program was articulated around six main sessions, one of which centered around European security standardisation in the CBRN sector followed by a closing round table on “How to best harmonize RN training in the EU” – both relevant for the RESIST project, which aims to create standardised CBRN trainings for public and private operators of European Critical Infrastructures.
